Momma Melts

Today, E started kindergarten, or "big school" as he calls it.

For the past 5 years, he has gone to the same "school" (daycare)...

This should be a big change for him.

But my kid is like me...

We take change in stride and embrace it (he's not scared, I promise!)

I didn't cry when we dropped him off at his classroom.

I'm excited for the fun I know he is going to have and the new friends he is going to make.

It's amazing the difference a year makes ...

But this momma did melt...

When I had to run back to the school to take his blanket...

And my son stood up in front of his entire class and said...

"I love you, Momma!"

I know those moments won't last long.

Soon he will be "too cool" to tell me he loves me in front of his friends.

So I'm holding that moment close to my heart...

Forever.

  1. ahh how sweet. Our son starts on Monday. "big boy" school as he calls it - because he has been in preschool for years too!

Glad it went well. I am praying I can keep it together!

  3. Ohh now that is so sweet! I just love those special times when they are young. Your young man is very handsome. They grow up far too soon. Cherish this moment.
